It also has this file, so just for fun, I changed the name of the 2018 version to PlayerMediaCore_old.prm and copied the PE2019 version of the file to this directory. Since the path to the PlayerMediaCore.prm file was listed (see previous #2), I thought perhaps the file was corrupted. The registry key will be deleted and the plugin will be loaded from disk.Īfter that, log entries into that text file just stop (which makes sense because startup froze at that time.)ģ. There was an error loading C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2018\Plug-ins\Common\PlayerMediaCore.prm from the plugin cache Invalid registry entry found so the plugin will be loaded from disk. Loading C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2018\Plug-ins\Common\PlayerMediaCore.prm The last few lines do indeed show everything stopped as the program was trying to load "PlayerMediaCore" in the Registry and from the disk. I took a look in the file called Plugin Loading.log. I tried opening PE2018 again but saw no change in behavior.Ģ.

In the Debug Database.txt file, I went to the DS.ForceCPUOnly entry and set it to "true true". I did do some tests and tried some things that were used in that thread (and some ideas of my own), however.ġ. For reference, here is a link to that thread:\ My adapter is an "Intel HD Graphics", so the solutions found in that thread do not apply to my adapter. One was almost identical to mine but it turned out to be specifically about an AMD Graphics card. I did some checking on other similar threads. but now the startup procedure freezes on this PlayerMediaCore stage.

Initially, I only updated it on the Win OS level, but then I saw a more specific driver update on the Levono site and installed that one.Īs a side note, this is "progress" over the first issue I was seeing when loading the application would immediately at the "Initializing application" stage. When I launch PE2018 on my new Lenovo 8185 (Display adapter "Intel HD Graphics"), the loading screen freezes when it gets to the point that it is "Loading PlayerMediaCore.prm".įor the record, I checked the graphics driver and made sure it is the latest one. So how do I get the disk menu onto the Timeline and what have I done incorrectly.

Is this how it's supposed to work? I did go ahead and burn the movie hoping the disk menu was linked but no disk menu on playback. I can use the slide to move within the movie but unable to actually play it. In the right hand corner is a small preview window which has the Title but no menu. Went to Export & Share and selected Disk which brought me to a burn screen. Then clicked on Done expecting the disk menu to be saved. I then selected Preview Movie in the Movie Menu window which allowed me to verify that the disk menu was correct. Went to Tools and selected Movie Menu which allowed me to pick a theme that had two frames. I did successfully capture video, create a movie, with a title, music and menu markers. The tutorials I have watch and the online User's Guide all reference PE 18. Since I am new to PE 19, I am looking for help/direction. I am running PE 19 on a Win 10 laptop which has a DVD/Blu-Ray burner.

Anyone know what is going on or having the same issues? I bought this software CD three days ago and I feel like I made a mistake in choosing Elements to work with. I do video editing with iMovie without issues, and do not have playback or speed issues other than when I add text. I have rebuilt various portions of today's video four times today and I am working on a deadline. When I pull up the program again, it has deleted the project until my last save. Without this, I have no way of closing, saving, or doing anything with Elements.

My computer is NOT freezing because I can open other programs at the bottom of the screen, but Elements requires me to restart my computer by holding down the power button and essentially crashing the entire computer. It allowed me to add one text frame, but every time I have tried to add a second frame to the program, it gives me the "busy" wheel spin - and stays there. Elements works without any glitches until I add a text frame. I am working with a 2019 Version of Elements that I just downloaded on my MacBook Pro.
